Pronounced "stew-rah-dur" (Gaelic for "helmsman"), this Single Malt is a tribute to the distillery's coastal roots on the northeast tip of Islay. Unlike most whiskies from the island, Bunnahabhain is famous for its unpeated style, focusing instead on the raw, saline influence of the sea.

Often compared to a "maritime storm," Stiùireadair is a fresh and vibrant expression. It is primarily matured in first and second-fill Sherry casks, creating a perfect harmony between coastal brine and rich, nutty sweetness.

TASTING NOTES

Character: Fresh, vibrant, and coastal.

Aromas: Saline sea air and dried fruits, with hints of creamy caramel and a touch of brine.

Palate: Surprisingly creamy and smooth ("onctueux"). The maritime saltiness is the star here, beautifully balanced by the richness of the Sherry wood.

Finish: Long and persistent with lingering notes of nuts, dried fruit, and a distinct coastal zest.

Style: An unpeated Islay malt that focuses on texture and iodine.
