The story of Earl Grey tea: As its name suggests, Earl Grey tea is closely linked to the Earl Grey family. It is said to have originated thanks to a Chinese servant who had the idea of blending orange and bergamot notes to enhance the flavor of black tea. The Earl, delighted by this blend, adopted it and helped popularize it, making Earl Grey one of the most consumed teas in the world.
