In China, jasmine tea (Mo Li Hua Cha) is considered the oldest floral tea. It is said to have been developed during the imperial Song dynasty (960–1279).

Mo Li Hua Cha is produced using a centuries-old method: green tea leaves are blended with fresh jasmine flowers, which naturally infuse them with their fragrance. The petals are then carefully removed one by one to avoid any bitterness in the infusion.
