Founded in 2012 in Rüdenau, St. Kilian Distillers has grown to become Germany's largest single malt distillery. Drawing inspiration from Scottish and Irish traditions, the distillery combines international expertise with German precision. The St. Kilian Classic is a non-peated flagship expression, meticulously crafted from a blend of distillates: 70% aged in ex-bourbon casks for creamy vanilla notes, and 30% matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks for fruity depth and indulgence.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: A vibrant fruit explosion of apricots, peaches, yellow plums, and plantain bananas, complemented by creamy vanilla. This sweetness is balanced by spicy oak and refreshing hints of mint and sage.
Palate: A perfect harmony of sweetness and warmth. Flavors of ripe apricot and peach merge with buttery toffee and spicy oak, accented by a pinch of white pepper and a cooling touch of mint.
Finish: Long-lasting and elegant, featuring creamy caramel, fine praline, subtle woody spices, and a light herbal touch.
