Shackleton is a whisky with an extraordinary legacy, inspired by one of history's greatest explorers. For his 1907 British Antarctic Expedition, Sir Ernest Shackleton commissioned 25 cases of Mackinlay’s Rare Old Highland Malt. In 2007, three of those cases were discovered perfectly preserved, frozen in the ice beneath Shackleton’s base camp.
Master Blender Richard Paterson analyzed those "forgotten" whiskies to recreate their unique 100-year-old profile. The result is a modern Blended Malt crafted exclusively from premium Highland Single Malts that captures the rugged yet refined spirit of the original expedition.
