While the name highlights the association of Blueberry and Chestnut, this liqueur is deeply rooted in the traditional craftsmanship of the Auvergne region. The process centers on the harvest of wild gentian roots, collected exclusively from the Auvergne Mountains (Puy de Dôme and Cantal) between June and September.

The fresh roots undergo a long maceration period of 7 to 9 months. Following this, a secret family recipe is applied before the final alcohol adjustment to reach its precise profile.
