While younger than the classic 16-year-old, this expression offers a more raw and assertive peat profile. Bottled at a higher strength of 48%, it delivers a punchy, vibrant intensity that captures the pure, untamed spirit of Islay.
TASTING NOTES
Character: Bold, intensely smoky, and elegantly powerful.
Nose: Immediate notes of cracked black pepper and heavy wood smoke, followed by the bright, refreshing contrast of orange and lemon zest.
Palate: Surprisingly light in texture but profoundly flavorful. It is round and warming, staying true to the iconic Lagavulin character. As it develops, the smoke becomes increasingly dominant and takes on a sophisticated dry quality.
