Founded in 2015, the Isle of Harris Distillery initially gained worldwide acclaim for its iconic gin, but its true heart has always been the creation of its first Single Malt: The Hearach. Named after the inhabitants of the island, this whisky represents the culmination of years of patience and traditional craftsmanship, utilizing eight Oregon pine washbacks and small-batch copper stills.
This inaugural release is lightly peated (12 to 14 ppm), reflecting the wild, natural landscape of the Outer Hebrides. It is a whisky that breathes the rhythm of the island, where the peat is elegantly integrated into a vibrant, verdant, and fruity profile.
TASTING NOTES
