The signature 10-year-old expression from Edradour historically one of Scotland's smallest distilleries has seen a remarkable evolution since its acquisition by Andrew Symington in 2002. This Single Malt is crafted from a careful selection of small-batch first and second-fill Oloroso Sherry butts. The result is a whisky with a stunning natural mahogany color and a deeply "gourmand" profile that emphasizes the rich, sweet, and fruity notes characteristic of Highland sherry maturation.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Rich mahogany.
Nose: Ample and fruit-forward. It opens with aromas of ripe plums and baked apples, developing into complex layers of rancio, beeswax, and golden honey.
Palate: Rich and highly concentrated. A sophisticated floral heart of lavender and violet is balanced by warming spices such as vanilla and cinnamon. This is further enriched by deep notes of candied dark fruits and fresh walnuts.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with a lingering sweetness reminiscent of fruit jam and toasted nuts.
