The pineapple is an exotic fruit native to South America. Christopher Columbus first discovered this flavorful fruit upon his arrival on the island of Guadeloupe in 1493. Its importation to Europe for consumption began as early as the start of the 16th century.

Did you know that pineapples don't grow on trees?

That's right the pineapple actually comes from an herbaceous plant that can grow up to 1.5 meters tall. Growers must wait up to two years to harvest the fruit at full maturity.

It is precisely from this ripe fruit that this pineapple liqueur is crafted. First, we use pineapple juice made from a blend of several varieties. Then, we add just the right amount of French white sugar. It is this sugar that creates the perfect balance between the vivacity of fresh pineapple and the comforting sweetness of an almost roasted pineapple.
