BOISSON COULEUR ROUGE 50CL COUDERC

A flower like a fruit! Red colored drink made with hibiscus flowers. This variety of hibiscus, called Guinea Sorrel, discovered in the Senegalese bush during a trip, would lead Michel Rieu to create his own liqueur: La Boisson de Couleur Rouge. Growing in sub-Saharan regions, it would finish blossoming in Freix-Anglards in Cantal, where Michel would use it like a fruit.

An astonishing result: the infusion reveals the delicate fragrance of the calyxes with notes of red fruits, identical to those that can be found in the Auvergne mountains. Successful bet!

After only 8 months of existence, a gold medal at the 2010 Concours Général Agricole of Paris would reward this new liqueur, very elegant, and furthermore concocted in Aurillac in Cantal with the collaboration of the Distillerie Louis Couderc.
